COMPANY BACKGROUND

Mahayana Films is a film production company set up to make films by Anand Naidu.

​

Anand Naidu was recognized in 2001 as a leading young chartered accountant by ICANZ and is an established actor/producer for various documentaries and films such as The Bollywood Dance, Curry Muncher’s 2011, Feeling Lucky and now The Stranded Pearl.

​

As a qualified actor and he has had several lead roles in projects and continues to be in high demand for film projects from New Zealand to India.

​

He is a very talented individual who worked as a taxation consultant for development projects in the Kingdom of Bhutan and special technical advisor to the Bhutan Cricket Association.

​

Anand Naidu is currently a CFO and company secretary for an Airline company in Rarotonga.

KEY PEOPLE

​

ANAND NAIDU | DIRECTOR | Aunanda is a New Zealand qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 year’s international financial sector experience. Aunanda has over 15 years as a trained actor and creative writer with prolific exposure in the arts field. Anand has appeared as the lead in three feature films (two commercial and one documentary) and in various short films. His business and artistic background along with his extensive network adds a solid foundation to the project.

RAJENDRA NAIDU | GENERAL MANAGER | A MBA qualified chartered accountant and JP with over 35 years’ experience in administration and management culminating in overall responsibility for over 100 employees. His experience has ranged from manufacturing, service and consultancy and is currently the managing director of the Raj and Associates Accountancy firm. His ethical work conduct is second to none.

JUNA POKHREL | DIRECTOR | Juna has a Masters in Management (completed with Distinction) from Massey University majoring in Marketing and Management. Her work in PR is second to none as one of her projects on PR has been picked as a study material for future students at Massey University. She has over 10 years of experience working as an administrator. ​​
